About Skye Winter
Skye Winter was born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Skye, the daughter of the renowned Caribbean artist Eric Winter, developed a unique eye for beauty and started creating art at a very young age. Drawn to photography at age 13 during a school trip to Italy, she hasn't put down a camera since. After years of travels throughout the US and Europe, she has recently moved to South Carolina from Central Florida and is constantly inspired by the beauty of the world around her.
“I love to find the extraordinary in everyday life and document what I see. The impermanence of each moment drives me to photograph the subject from my perspective at that instant, knowing this moment will never happen again. I don’t want to forget or let these fleeting moments so special to me disappear into the ether. A photograph takes only a second, but the image can last forever.”
